The recognitions highlight Mastercard’s performance across its business and workplace culture, as well as its use of emerging technologies to develop practical solutions for consumers, businesses and partners.

Mastercard  has received two major global recognitions, ranking among the world’s top 20 companies in TIME’s World’s Best Companies 2026 and placing sixth in the Fortune AIQ 75, which highlights Fortune 500 companies advancing the use of artificial intelligence.

The recognitions highlight Mastercard’s performance across its business and workplace culture, as well as its use of emerging technologies to develop practical solutions for consumers, businesses and partners.

Mastercard’s inclusion in TIME’s World’s Best Companies 2026 ranking was based on an assessment of employee satisfaction, revenue growth and sustainability transparency. Developed by TIME in partnership with Statista, the ranking combines employee feedback, financial performance and environmental, social and governance indicators.

The company’s position among the top 20 follows its earlier inclusion in the TIME100 Most Influential Companies 2026, where Mastercard was also recognised among the 10 most influential companies in the global finance sector.

Mastercard also ranked sixth on the Fortune AIQ 75, which assesses how effectively Fortune 500 companies are applying artificial intelligence. The ranking considers factors including AI implementation, return on investment, competitive advantage and governance, while the 2026 assessment also examines the maturity, value and scale of AI-agent deployments.

Mastercard said it is already applying AI across its operations to strengthen security, improve customer experiences and develop new ways for consumers and businesses to interact and transact. The company is also focusing on ensuring that its AI innovation is built around trust and delivers practical value as the technology becomes increasingly integrated into commerce.

In Azerbaijan, Mastercard continues to work with local partners to apply its global expertise and technology to the country’s digital economy. Its efforts include supporting more secure, accessible and trusted digital commerce for consumers and businesses.
