Visa and ADI Foundation Explore Blockchain Opportunities for Digital Payments

This initiative brings together Visa’s global network and commitment to innovation with ADI’s experience in digital infrastructure to explore opportunities in the next generation of digital finance.

Visa,  the global leader in digital payments, and ADI Foundation (ADI),  an institutional gateway enabling public and private sector organizations to adopt blockchain technology through purpose-built, policy-aligned infrastructure, announced a collaboration aimed at exploring opportunities in digital payments and emerging payment technologies.

This initiative brings together Visa’s global network and commitment to innovation with ADI’s experience in digital infrastructure to explore opportunities in the next generation of digital finance.

For ADI, the collaboration reflects a broader strategy centered on helping established institutions engage with blockchain technology through infrastructure designed around real-world operational, policy and interoperability requirements.

Bringing together Visa’s expertise in global payments and ADI’s experience developing distributed ledger infrastructure for digital finance and payment applications, the parties will explore three areas of cooperation to support innovation, efficiency, and interoperability across payment ecosystems:

  • Digital payment solutions: including exploring mechanisms to facilitate faster and more efficient payment flows.
  • Payment infrastructure: including exploring opportunities to develop or integrate technical infrastructure to support digital asset-based transaction flows.
  • Digital finance ecosystem development: including exploring collaboration in support of innovation within the digital finance and payments space.

The collaboration reflects a shared interest in understanding how emerging blockchain infrastructure and established electronic payment networks may complement one another as digital finance evolves. This approach is central to ADI Foundation’s institutional focus: developing blockchain infrastructure that can work with existing financial systems and the organizations that operate them, rather than requiring institutions to build entirely outside established financial infrastructure.

“The way money moves is evolving rapidly. As financial institutions continue to explore new forms of value exchange, trusted networks and interoperability become increasingly important. Through our collaboration with ADI Foundation, we aim to explore opportunities for businesses, consumers and the broader payments ecosystem by combining the expertise of both organizations and contributing to innovation in digital payments and emerging technologies.”

– Vira Platonova, Global Head, Visa Direct

“The next phase of digital finance will depend on infrastructure that works with the institutions that already move money at global scale, and ADI was built with that requirement in mind. Our collaboration with Visa gives us an opportunity to explore how blockchain-based infrastructure and electronic payment networks may complement one another, and to assess practical opportunities across digital payment solutions, payment infrastructure and the broader digital finance ecosystem.”

– Svyatoslav Senyuta, Chief Business Officer, ADI Foundation
