Both parties highlighted the importance of expanding telecommunications infrastructure and extending reliable mobile and data services to underserved communities.

MTN South Sudan  has reaffirmed its commitment to working with the country’s telecommunications regulator to expand connectivity, improve service quality and strengthen consumer protection.

The commitment was made during a courtesy visit by an MTN South Sudan delegation led by Chief Executive Officer Mapula Bodibe to the National Communication Authority (NCA)  headquarters in Juba. The delegation congratulated Eng. Gieth Kon Mathiang on his reappointment as Director General of the authority.

During the engagement, MTN pledged continued cooperation with the regulator and compliance with applicable regulatory frameworks to support South Sudan’s national ICT objectives.

Both parties highlighted the importance of expanding telecommunications infrastructure and extending reliable mobile and data services to underserved communities. They also discussed cooperation on regulatory compliance, service quality and consumer interests, particularly during electoral processes.

The NCA reiterated its commitment to working with licensed operators and service providers to promote a transparent, competitive and sustainable telecommunications sector across South Sudan.
