Medusa Submarine Cable System  has completed the Pre-Laid Shore End (PLSE) installation in Benghazi, Libya, marking a further step towards expanding its high-capacity submarine cable network across the Mediterranean.

The PLSE is the section of submarine cable installed in advance between the land-based landing site and the offshore connection point, preparing the route for the installation of the main cable.

The milestone supports Medusa’s efforts to strengthen connectivity between North Africa, Europe and the Middle East through its Mediterranean submarine cable network.

The installation involved teams working on the ground in Benghazi, with the company acknowledging their collaboration in completing the operation.

The Medusa submarine cable system is designed to expand international connectivity across the Mediterranean region, supporting the growing demand for high-capacity telecommunications infrastructure and data transmission between connected markets.
