Orange Jordan Holds Regional Startup Networking Meetups Across Jordan
The initiative aims to strengthen Jordan’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and empower 130 entrepreneurs by facilitating cross-sector collaboration, market access and potential business partnerships.
Orange Jordan has organised three regional networking meetups under the Private Sector Access to Support Startups (PASS) programme to connect entrepreneurs with investors, private-sector companies and other organisations that can support their business growth.
The initiative aims to strengthen Jordan’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and empower 130 entrepreneurs by facilitating cross-sector collaboration, market access and potential business partnerships.
The networking sessions were held in Amman at the Orange Digital Village and Innovation Hub, as well as in Aqaba and Irbid at The Platform, a technology centre operating under the Youth, Technology, and Jobs project. The project is managed by Jordan’s Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship (MoDEE) and implemented in partnership with INJAZ. The Amman session also included startups from Karak, extending their access to business networks beyond their home governorate.
During the meetups, participating entrepreneurs and organisations presented their activities before engaging in direct networking discussions to explore investment opportunities, service provision, market access and potential partnerships. Organisations from sectors including financial technology and consulting also held one-on-one discussions with startups.
The sessions complement the PASS programme’s tailored training, individual guidance and mentorship by helping entrepreneurs translate their skills into practical business opportunities and relationships with potential customers, investors and partners.
Orange Jordan highlighted the role of entrepreneurship in economic growth through job creation, innovation and opportunities for local communities. The company also emphasised the importance of private-sector participation in helping startups understand market needs, secure customers and build sustainable businesses.
Through the initiative, Orange Jordan aims to expand opportunities for entrepreneurs across Jordan’s governorates, ensuring that startup support extends beyond skills development to include access to the commercial networks and partnerships needed for long-term growth.
PASS is implemented through a partnership involving Orange Jordan, the GIZ-implemented Entrepreneurship for Sustainable Economic Development and Employment (E4DE) project, and MoDEE, on behalf of Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the European Union (EU).
