Airtel Nigeria and the Airtel Africa Foundation have strengthened their partnership with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) to expand inclusive digital learning across Nigeria, following a series of engagements with senior Federal Government officials in Abuja.
Over three days, representatives from Airtel Africa Foundation, Airtel Nigeria and UNICEF met with government officials, including representatives of the Office of the Vice President and the Minister of State for Education, Prof. Suwaiba Sa’idu Ahmad, to discuss strategies for scaling digital education nationwide.
The discussions focused on expanding zero-rated access to educational platforms, accelerating teacher capacity building and promoting safer digital environments for children.

Platforms highlighted in the engagement include the Nigeria Learning Passport, Inspire and Ignite, which support access to digital learning resources.
Prof. Sa’idu Ahmad emphasised the importance of public-private partnerships aligned with national education priorities in delivering sustainable improvements in learning.
