According to Unitel, the governor acknowledged the company’s efforts to address network challenges identified in the area. He also called for a stronger presence in Catete, including the opening of additional service centres and the expansion of services to improve residents’ access to telecommunications solutions.

Angolan telecommunications operator Unitel  is supporting the first edition of Expo Icolo e Bengo 2026 as a sponsor, showcasing its telecommunications and digital financial services while engaging with businesses and communities in the province.

The exhibition officially opened on 22 October at the Africa Manufacturing Centre in Catete, bringing together more than 200 exhibitors to promote the province’s economic potential, encourage investment and create business partnerships. The event runs until 25 October.

During the opening, Icolo e Bengo Provincial Governor Auzílio Jacob visited Unitel’s stand alongside provincial officials, business representatives, traditional authorities and other attendees.

According to Unitel, the governor acknowledged the company’s efforts to address network challenges identified in the area. He also called for a stronger presence in Catete, including the opening of additional service centres and the expansion of services to improve residents’ access to telecommunications solutions.

Throughout the exhibition, Unitel is providing sales support and customer services, allowing visitors and potential customers to explore its offerings. Its digital financial services subsidiary, Unitel Money, is also participating in activities aimed at attracting new customers and promoting the benefits of its digital wallet.

The company said its participation reflects its commitment to connectivity, innovation and customer engagement, while supporting community development and Angola’s broader economic growth.
