They also explored opportunities for MTN to support initiatives focused on women beyond the Girls in ICT programme, which MTN Ghana sponsors.

The meeting also examined how terrestrial telecommunications networks could work alongside low-Earth-orbit satellite systems to improve network coverage.
At the Bank of Ghana, discussions centred on financial inclusion and ways to help small, medium and micro enterprises (SMMEs) access financial solutions that support business growth. Other topics included financial literacy, responsible lending and cybersecurity, with an emphasis on cooperation to strengthen the digital financial ecosystem.
MTN said Ghana remains a key market for the Group and its largest fintech market. The company added that Mupita’s stakeholder engagements are intended to understand expectations in priority markets and strengthen working relationships to create shared value.
