MWC 2023 Keynote 6: The Future Of Sport & Entertainment

Tue, 28 Feb: 17:15 – 18:00 CET

In the final two sessions of the day – we talk about the transformative power technology has had  connecting fans to the entertainment they love.

Starting off with FC Barcelona, we hear how Women’s football is enjoying an unprecedented pace of growth, and building up a huge fan base. FC Barcelona reached new heights last year as Camp Nou set a new world record for attendance at a women’s football game, but is it the fan engagement through technology that is connecting and drawing these fans and users together?

And from entertainment leader Netflix, we are reminded of the relationships between a thriving creative industry and a thriving Internet ecosystem. Netflix’s new co-CEO will explore the many ways in which telecom and entertainment companies can continue to work together to better connect consumers to the stories they love – from Squid Game and La Casa de Papel to Lupin and Wednesday.
