Author: Editorial Team

The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and expected to close on June 2, 2021. With this transaction, Millicom  will complete the divestment of its shares in Helios Towers plc.

Last month, Millicom announced the sale of its Tigo and Zantel brands to Madagascar based Axian Group. Back then the company stated that the sale of the Tanzania business is in line with Millicom’s strategy to focus on providing fixed and mobile services in Latin America after investing in the development of the telecommunications industry in Africa for more than 25 years.
