Telecom Egypt in Pursuit to Enable VoLTE Service Through 4G

Telecom Egypt launches voice-over LTE (VoLTE) service in Egypt through its 4G network in cooperation with key technology players and handsets providers like Ericsson, Nokia, and Huawei. The new technology offers high quality and convenient voice service that can connect up to five times faster than conventional voice calls and allow for simultaneously making voice calls while using 4G data services, without neither affecting the quality of the calls nor the speed of the data connection.

Telecom Egypt’s state-of-the-art 4G network following the latest international standards of 3GPP LTE-advanced 3 that include “Carrier Aggregation” and “Massive MIMO,” enables it to provide its customers with the optimum quality and speed available, besides being 5G ready.
It is worth mentioning that the NTRA has lately authorized VoLTE services in the Egyptian market.
