SlipMate Enables the E-Commerce Functionality for its Mastercard Corporate Prepaid Cards

South African expense management solution SlipMate has announced that it has enabled e-commerce functionality for its Mastercard corporate prepaid cards, a first-of-its-kind integration for the South African market.

SlipMate is an intelligent expense management solution designed by Innervation Rewards that enables South African companies to reconcile employees’ corporate expenses from their Mastercard prepaid corporate card, via the SlipMate App.

In a first for the South African market, SlipMate’s Mastercard corporate prepaid cards can now be used to access a range of services, including online flight and accommodation bookings, ride-hailing trips, and online shopping.”

SlipMate’s mobile app enables employees to easily capture, submit and track expense claims, while embedded analytics empowers HR and finance departments with visibility over the full expense claim process, from submission to pay-out. Mastercard corporate prepaid cards linked to SlipMate enable employees to pay for travel and entertainment expenses securely and conveniently, with the new functionality now allowing them to make online purchases.

According to Mastercard research, 68% of South Africans are shopping more online since the onset of the COVID 19 pandemic.
