Thuraya Telecommunications Company, the mobile satellite services subsidiary of the UAE’s flagship satellite solutions provider, Al Yah Satellite Communications Company PJSC (“Yahsat” or, together with its subsidiaries, “the Group”) has announced a service agreement with Altaqnya, a leading data and communications technology firm, to launch Thuraya’s suite of innovative products and solutions to key customer segments in Libya.

The Thuraya-Altaqnya service agreement will target the Energy, Government, Maritime and Humanitarian Relief sectors within Libya with a product roll-out of three core categories encompassing Land Voice with XT-PRO and X5-Touch, Land Data with IP+ and IP Voyager, and Maritime with MarineStar. The agreement will enable Thuraya to establish its position as a leading satcom provider in the country and strengthen its key service offerings in the multi-platform Voice and Data businesses.

“Libya is a priority market for Thuraya and the collaboration with Altaqnya will allow us to establish ourselves in the country as a leading satellite communications provider that delivers reliable, safe and rapid deployment of industry leading products, services and solutions. We look forward to leveraging the service agreement to further our reach and maximize growth in Libya and the wider continent.”
