Omantel to Host Global Carrier Community Meeting in Muscat, Oman
Omantel, the leading provider of integrated telecommunication services in the Sultanate of Oman, is going to host this year’s Global Carrier Community Meeting (GCCM) from November 6 to 7 in Muscat. Over 600 telecom professionals representing decision-makers from more than 300 operators, service providers, hyperscalers and vendors from more than 50 countries will meet and network during the Middle East 2023 GCCM in Muscat, Oman. The event is organised by the Carrier Community (CC), a global telecom club and professional networking community based in Berlin, Germany.
As an industry leader and key wholesale provider, Omantel is proud to host this gathering of the world’s telecom operators, which is one of the largest telecom events in the region, especially on the wholesale front. Through GCCM, we highlight our wholesale leadership position and strong partnerships with major international telecom players and hyperscalers, many of whom have selected Oman as their regional hub for providing services. Supporting this event underlines our global wholesale imprint. During this event, we will also showcase the recently announced wholesale company, Zain Omantel International (ZOI), which is a joint venture between Zain Group and Omantel that has been created to become the Middle East’s premier international wholesale services provider and revolutionize the telecom landscape in the region and beyond.

During the event, Carrier Community members representing voice, data, SMS, mobile, VAS, subsea cables, satellite, data centres and other related sectors will enjoy full access to all meeting facilities, executive panels and knowledge sharing sessions as well as networking gatherings.
Omantel will be hosting the event in Muscat for the third time, and it will include Knowledge Sharing Master Classes featuring international industry experts conducting sessions on the latest fiber optic and subsea cable technologies. The aim of this initiative by Omantel is to widen knowledge sharing specially on new and trending telecom technologies and further differentiate GCCM from any other event in the region.
