NTRA and ECA Lead Effort to Resolve Telecom Challenges in Closed Compounds
In a recent gathering at the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority’s (NTRA) headquarters, key stakeholders convened to address challenges faced by residents in closed urban compounds regarding telecommunication services. The meeting, attended by representatives from the NTRA, Egyptian Competition Authority (ECA), and real estate developers, aimed to foster collaboration with mobile operators.
Acknowledging the presence of representatives from the New Urban Community Authority, the discussions focused on governance and regulation of telecom services within closed urban compounds. This initiative was prompted by a series of complaints from users within these compounds, citing difficulties in service utilization and limitations in choice.
