Ethio Telecom has officially rolled out 5G services in Dire Dawa, marking another step in Ethiopia’s digital transformation. The launch follows previous introductions in Addis Ababa, Adama, and Jigjiga. The 5G deployment, a rarity globally, aims to enhance nationwide digital inclusion.

In Dire Dawa, the service covers key areas, including Sabian High School, Ashewa Marketplace, Kezira Tele, B-Capital Hotel, Dire Dawa Poly Technic College, Tesfa Hotel, and Dire Dawa University. The move aligns with Ethio Telecom’s commitment to advancing connectivity.

The commercialization of 5G holds significance for business customers, offering improved productivity and efficiency through next-gen applications and real-time analytics. It also facilitates quick adaptation to evolving business dynamics, generating new revenues.
