Nilesat and Arabsat CEOs Meet to Enhance Satellite Cooperation Across Middle East and Africa

Nilesat Chairman and CEO General Sameh Katta received Arabsat CEO Engineer Alhamdi Alanezi, and the accompanying high-level delegation at the company’s headquarters in 6th of October City. This visit. which is the first of its kind, comes after signing the memorandum of understanding between the two companies in Riyadh on the preiphery of the Saudi Media Forum, which was held last February.

During their meeting, the two presidents of Nilesat and Arabsat discussed means of joint cooperation, being the two leading companies in the Middle East, the Arab region and Africa for operating satellites. The meetings in Cairo were held within the framework of enhancing fruitful and constructive coordination between the two companies.

From his side, General Sameh Katta stressed the importance of strengthening the strategic partnership between the two companies through a wide range of topics that support the common interests and emphasize the continued leadership of the two companies in the field of satellite operation technology, broadcasting and telecommunications.

And for his part, Arabsat CEO Alhamdi Alanezi expressed his happiness with the company’s visit, strengthening the frameworks of joint cooperation between the two companies, building valuable satellite services base that serves Arab media in the region, as well as finding means to enhance further cooperation.
