Nilesat and Telecom Egypt Explore Collaboration in Satellite and Communication Technology

Nilesat Chairman and CEO Major General Sameh Katta received today Telecom Egypt CEO Eng. Mohamed Nasr and the accompanying delegation. The joint meetings addressed means of cooperation in the field of communications and satellite broadcasting technology.

The heads of the two companies discussed means of joint cooperation in the fields of satellite and communication technology and the broadband, within the framework of enhancing fruitful and constructive collaboration between the two companies as well as consolidating the complementary business relations.

During the meeting, Major General Sameh Katta stressed the importance of strengthening the strategic partnership between the two national companies, that supports common interests and emphasizes increasing joint investment in the fields of communications and the Internet.

For his part, Eng. Mohamed Nasr stressed the importance of integration between Telecom Egypt’s fiber optic network, extending inside and outside Egypt and connecting many countries of the world, and the satellites network of Nilesat, which has a leading experience in the field of satellites, in order to provide integrated and unique services to the customers of the two companies inside and outside Egypt.

During the visit, Eng. Mohamed Nasr and the accompanying delegation also inspected the Satellite Sector and the Nilesat’s Teleport facilities , as well as infrastructure services to discuss opportunities for cooperation between the two companies.
