The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) will hold oral public hearings on Thursday, 16 May 2024, regarding the licensing process for community television broadcasting service and radio frequency spectrum licenses.

Out of the thirty-seven applications reviewed in Phase 1, only Platinum North West TV (PNWTV) met the pre-qualification criteria and advanced to Phase 2.

The public hearing for Phase 2 will be held at the Protea Hotel in Mahikeng, Northwest, from 09:00 AM to 03:00 PM (SAST). Interested stakeholders and members of the public are invited to attend.
