MTN South Africa Commits to Inclusive Growth at SONA 2024
MTN South Africa has publicly affirmed its commitment to President Cyril Ramaphosa’s vision of inclusive growth as articulated during the State of the Nation Address (SONA). Engaging with key stakeholders, MTN pledged to support the nation’s advancement in several critical areas. Reflecting on technology’s role in driving inclusive economic growth, MTN engaged with Solly Malatsi, Minister of Communications and Digital Technologies. The company also discussed initiatives to improve access and the quality of education with Siviwe Gwarube, Minister of Basic Education.
Highlighting the need for an investment-friendly legislative framework, MTN held discussions with Khusela Sangoni, Chairperson of the Portfolio Committee on Communications and Digital Technologies. Opportunities for sectoral growth were explored with Nonkqubela Jordan-Dyani, Director General of Communications and Digital Technologies. The event also marked a dual celebration of 30 years of democracy and MTN’s 30-year anniversary, alongside South Africa’s public and private sector leaders.
