The Capital Market Authority (CMA) of Uganda recently hosted Sylvia Mulinge, CEO of MTN Uganda, along with her team, during a courtesy visit to Josephine Okui Ossiya, the CEO of CMA. The meeting fostered an atmosphere of collaboration, with both parties engaging in discussions focused on regulatory and development issues relevant to Uganda’s capital markets.

A key focus of the conversation was exploring potential collaborations that could boost public awareness about the benefits of capital market investments. By working together, CMA and MTN Uganda aim to increase participation in capital markets, making them more accessible to the public.

This partnership represents an exciting prospect for the future of Uganda’s financial ecosystem. By empowering more Ugandans with knowledge and opportunities in the capital markets space, both organizations are set to contribute to the country’s economic growth through improved financial literacy and increased investment opportunities.
