MTN Group Strengthens Leadership with Key Appointments in Fintech and Bayobab Subsidiaries

MTN Group has reportedly strengthened the leadership of its key subsidiaries, MTN Group Fintech and Bayobab, by appointing four new nonexecutive directors to their respective boards. These strategic appointments are reportedly aiming to further MTN’s growth and innovation in the African fintech and digital infrastructure sectors.

According to reports, effective July 1, Herman Bosman has taken on the role of independent chairperson for MTN Group Fintech, bringing extensive expertise in corporate governance and financial strategy. Alongside Bosman, Nicky Newton-King and Nosipho Molope have been reportedly appointed as independent nonexecutive directors, with their roles commencing on September 1.
