Rwanda’s Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, Yusuf Murangwa, is spearheading the country’s delegation at the ongoing World Bank and International Monetary Fund (IMF) annual meetings in Washington, D.C. The high-profile event focuses on critical global issues, including sustainable development, climate resilience, gender equality, and financial markets. Rwanda’s participation in these discussions emphasizes its commitment to addressing these global challenges through collaboration.
In a key bilateral meeting, Minister Murangwa, alongside his team, held discussions with International Finance Corporation (IFC) Managing Director, Mukhtar Diop. The talks explored ongoing partnerships and identified new avenues for collaboration. Key areas of focus included governance of state-owned enterprises, public-private partnerships, and the development of Rwanda’s agribusiness and hospitality sectors.
The meetings are expected to further strengthen Rwanda’s ties with international development partners, paving the way for enhanced cooperation and continued growth.
