Zambia’s Fikiliza Overdraft, launched by Airtel, Natsave, and Yabx, empowers mobile money users with seamless transactions, aligning with government goals for digital transformation.

Commerce, Trade and Industry Minister, Hon Chipoka Mulenga MP says that government has supported initiatives that are aimed at making lives for communities easier.
The Minister said that as stated in the 8th National Development Plan, innovation facilitated by technology is a key enabler to digital transformation.
Speaking this morning in Lusaka, when he launched the Fikiliza Overdraft Service, Hon. Mulenga commended Airtel, Natsave and Yabx for coming up with the service and customizing the needs of the customers but also cautioned customers to ensure that they fulfilled their pay back obligations.
As a government we support these kinds of solutions but we also want to believe that necessary measures have been put in place to ensure that customer’s personal and financial information is protected.

– Hon Chipoka Mulenga MP, Commerce, Trade and Industry Minister, Zambia

Fikiliza Overdraft which is the first of its kind product has brought together Airtel as the distribution and payment platform provider, Natsave as the loan financing partner and Yabx as the technology partner.
The service allows Airtel money customers to complete their Airtel money transactions when they have insufficient funds in the Airtel money accounts. In the age where digital transformation has accelerated, it is fundamental that as citizens, we move with the times.
