The Foschini Group Reports Robust Sales Growth in Q3 FY2025
TFG posted 8.4% Q3 growth, 47.2% online sales surge, market share gains in fashion, and improved Africa gross margins.

The Foschini Group Limited (TFG) has reported robust sales growth for Q3 FY2025, reflecting a significant rebound from earlier challenges. Group sales rose by 8.4% during the quarter, reversing the 2.0% contraction experienced in the first half of FY2025. For the nine-month period ending 28 December 2024, group sales increased by 1.6%, with gross profit rising 5.7%.
Online sales emerged as a standout performer, surging 47.2% in Q3 FY2025, with a 49.3% increase in TFG Africa. Year-to-date, online sales have grown by 20.8%, contributing 11.3% to total retail sales. This marks a significant shift in consumer behavior towards digital shopping.
TFG Africa continued to gain market share in Menswear and Womenswear, increasing to 19.8% for Q3 FY2025 compared to 19.2% in the previous year. Market share in Kidswear remained steady. Additionally, gross margins in TFG Africa improved by 210 basis points year-to-date, underscoring the group’s operational efficiency.
