Rwanda Charts Bold Path Forward with NST2, Advancing Vision 2050 Goals
Rwanda launches NST2 to build on NST1’s progress, accelerating economic growth, prosperity, and quality of life toward Vision 2050 goals.

Rwanda is set to launch the Second National Strategy for Transformation (NST2), building on the progress achieved under NST1 over the past seven years.
The new strategy aims to accelerate sustainable economic growth, enhance prosperity, and improve the quality of life for all citizens, aligning with the country’s Vision 2050 goals.
This strategy aims to deliver long term success and positively impact on the lives of citizens by prioritizing sustainable development and climate resilience, development of domestic manufacturing industries to reduce the trade deficit, creating sustainable and decent jobs, improving the quality and relevance of education, enhancing nutrition and early childhood development to reduce stunting, improving the quality-of-service delivery while strengthening citizen engagement and participation.

The NST2 document further stated that to ensure the successful implementation of the strategy the governance and institutional framework supporting delivery will be streamlined, data and technology will be harnessed and innovation, capacity and skills development will be emphasized.
