Egyptian Space Agency and Qamar Partner to Boost Local Satellite Manufacturing
The Egyptian Space Agency and Qamar Space Technology will collaborate on satellite manufacturing, testing, and operations, strengthening Egypt’s space industry and innovation.

In a qualitative move for the Egyptian space sector, the Egyptian Space Agency and Qamar Space Technology Company signed a strategic cooperation protocol on March 24, 2025.
It aims to strengthen the partnership in satellite manufacturing and its components in Egypt, and to benefit from the agency’s advanced infrastructure in environmental, mechanical and electrical testing processes of satellites.
The agreement was sponsored by Professor Dr. Sharif Siddiqui, CEO of the Egyptian Space Agency, and Engineer Ahmed Nassar, CEO of Qamar Space Technology Company, to establish a new model for integration between research institutions and Egyptian technology companies in the field of space. Cooperation also includes the exchange of scientific and research experiences, operating satellites, and providing frequencies needed to contact satellites.
This collaboration to support the goals of Qamar Space Technology Company in the development and manufacture of satellites for Internet of Things, Communications and Photography services, which strengthens Egypt’s capabilities and supports the digital transformation with innovative space solutions. Qamar Company is also considered to be the first Egyptian company in the private sector to manufacture, operate and provide satellites to the local and international market.
