The index uses key metrics such as 4G/5G availability, excellent consistent quality, and download speeds to assess mobile network performance.
South Africa placed 60th overall in the global ranking. The country ranked 55th for 4G/5G availability, 63rd for excellent consistent quality, 52nd for 4G download speed, and 42nd for 5G download speed. These figures provide a snapshot of the current state of mobile connectivity in South Africa.
