12 Nigerian States Waive RoW Fees to Boost Broadband Access

Around a dozen Nigerian states have waived Right of Way (RoW) fees in a bid to attract broadband investments and improve internet access, especially in rural and underserved communities. Multiple reports have confirmed this.
According to the reports, states such as Zamfara, Katsina, Anambra, Kebbi, Nasarawa, Bauchi, and Adamawa are among those implementing the waiver. Collectively, these states account for over 31.17 million mobile subscriptions.
The move is expected to support the expansion of broadband infrastructure and accelerate digital inclusion across the regions.
