Cameroon’s telecom regulator launches an audit of Camtel’s fibre optic network to assess performance and address ongoing service quality issues.

Cameroon’s Telecommunications Regulatory Board (ART) has launched a restricted tender for a new audit of the national fibre optic network.

The move comes amid persistent concerns over service quality in the country’s telecommunications sector.

The audit will evaluate the performance and integrity of the fibre infrastructure managed by Camtel, the state-owned telecom operator. The findings are expected to guide improvements in network reliability and service delivery.
