Cameroon Unveils Key Study on Data Center Ecosystem and Digital Sovereignty
The 269-page report, the result of a three-year study, offers a detailed overview of Cameroon’s existing data infrastructure—highlighting strengths, weaknesses, and development opportunities.

The Centre National Information Development (CENADI) has officially presented the findings of a major study on the data center ecosystem in Cameroon, under the theme “Datacenters in Cameroon: Competitiveness and Sustainability.” The event was chaired by Finance Minister Louis Paul Motaze, with participation from government officials and technical partners.
The presentation included discussions tied to World Data Centers Day, focusing on “Digital Sovereignty of African States: The Question of Data Retention in the Age of Artificial Intelligence,” led by CENADI Director Chantal Marguerite Mveh.
