The state-of-the-art facility is designed to foster technological advancement, support startups, and provide young Nigerians with the resources needed to thrive in the digital economy.

The Honourable Minister of Communications, Innovation & Digital Economy  of Nigeria, Dr. ‘Bosun Tijani, officially commissioned the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC ) Digital Innovation Park in Abeokuta, Ogun State, reaffirming the Federal Government’s commitment to positioning Nigeria as a global leader in digital innovation. The state-of-the-art facility is designed to foster technological advancement, support startups, and provide young Nigerians with the resources needed to thrive in the digital economy.

During the commissioning ceremony, Dr. Tijani emphasised the importance of digital infrastructure in achieving the goals of H.E. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu‘s Renewed Hope Agenda. He highlighted that the park would serve as a hub for innovation, providing access to high-speed internet, co-working spaces, and training programs aimed at equipping the youth in the state with essential digital skills.

“The digital park is a vital part of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which places digital innovation, youth empowerment, and inclusive growth at the heart of Nigeria’s journey to a $1 trillion economy. We are committed to creating environments where young Nigerians can harness technology to solve local challenges and compete globally. “This facility is not just a building; it’s a catalyst for change. We urge our young people to take full advantage of the opportunities it offers. By engaging with the resources here, they can develop solutions that address real-world problems, drive economic growth, and position Nigeria as a hub for digital innovation.”

-Dr. ‘Bosun Tijani, Minister of Communications, Innovation & Digital Economy, Nigeria

“The establishment of the Digital Innovation Park in Ogun State aligns with our vision to create an enabling environment for innovation and entrepreneurship. We believe this facility will play a significant role in nurturing talent and driving the state’s economic transformation.”

Prince Dapo Abiodun, Executive Governor, Ogun State, Nigeria

“These parks are equipped with computer labs, smart networking systems, collaborative workspaces, and multipurpose halls. They have been designed to include hands-on practice laboratories for training and skills development. In addition, we have also engaged skilled technical and managerial personnel to operate the centres, working alongside students enrolled in industrial training or part-time apprenticeship programs. The Digital Industrial Parks are aligned with the National Digital Economy Policy and Strategy, as well as the strategic vision of the Honourable Minister of Communications, Innovation & Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani.”

Dr. Aminu Maida, Executive Vice Chairman (EVC)/Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).

The NCC Digital Innovation Park will serve as a:

  • platform for youth empowerment—a place where skills meet opportunity.
  • launchpad for innovation—where ideas become ventures, and ventures become industries.
  • catalyst for community transformation—especially for the adjoining neighbourhoods, which can now evolve into one of Africa’s next great tech clusters.

The commissioning of the Digital Innovation Park marks a significant milestone in Nigeria’s journey towards a digitally empowered society. It reflects the collaborative efforts between the federal and state governments to invest in infrastructure that supports innovation, fosters entrepreneurship, and equips the youth with the skills necessary for the future.
