NITDA and Microsoft Reaffirm Strategic Partnership to Drive Nigeria’s Digital Transformation

The high-level meeting aimed to strengthen the ongoing collaboration between NITDA and Microsoft, aligning closely with Nigeria’s digital transformation agenda.

The Director General of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) , Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, recently welcomed Jeff Bullwinkel, Microsoft ’s Vice President and Deputy General Counsel for Corporate, External & Legal Affairs (EMEA), to NITDA’s Corporate Headquarters in Abuja.

The high-level meeting aimed to strengthen the ongoing collaboration between NITDA and Microsoft, aligning closely with Nigeria’s digital transformation agenda. During the visit, Microsoft reaffirmed its long-term commitment to supporting Nigeria’s digital growth and enhancing its partnership with the government.

In his remarks, Inuwa emphasized the importance of this collaboration in achieving President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s vision for a digitally empowered economy. He noted that technology is a key driver across all eight of the President’s priority areas and stressed that strategic alliances, such as with Microsoft, are vital to accelerating national development, digital inclusion, and economic prosperity.

Jeff Bullwinkel was joined by Ola Williams, Microsoft’s General Manager for Nigeria and Ghana, and Nonye Ujam, Director of Government Affairs. Their presence underscored Microsoft’s commitment to working closely with Nigerian institutions to deepen digital skills, infrastructure, and innovation across the country
