The expansion promises faster, more reliable connectivity for both residents and businesses, reinforcing the operator’s commitment to delivering quality digital services across the country.

Airtel Uganda  has extended its 4G network coverage to Kassanda District as part of its ongoing national infrastructure rollout aimed at improving digital inclusion. The expansion promises faster, more reliable connectivity for both residents and businesses, reinforcing the operator’s commitment to delivering quality digital services across the country.

During a visit to the area, Airtel Uganda’s Managing Director, Soumendra Sahu, engaged with local customers, agents, and community members to assess the impact of the newly installed network sites. According to the company, the users in Kassanda are already experiencing notable improvements in call quality and data performance.

“Our goal is simple: to deliver a brilliant network experience to all customers across Uganda, without differentiation. We are not just building infrastructure—we are enabling economic participation, access to knowledge, and deeper human connection.”

–  Soumendra Sahu, Managing Director, Airtel Uganda

In Bukuya, Mr. Sahu also led a hands-on demonstration of the Data Saver feature on smartphones, teaching customers how to better manage data usage. This aligns with Airtel’s broader focus on affordability and digital literacy, especially in underserved areas.

The Kassanda initiative is one of several ongoing community engagements by Airtel Uganda aimed at closing the connectivity gap nationwide. Through each new site, the operator continues to empower individuals and enterprises with the tools needed to thrive in Uganda’s increasingly digital economy.
