This initiative underscores Gabon's commitment to strengthening its digital independence and investing in its human capital to drive the nation's digital future.

The President of the Gabonese Republic, H.E. Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, today presided over the signing of a landmark agreement between the Gabonese State and the National Digital Infrastructure and Frequency Agency (ANINF)  for the establishment of a national Data Center. This initiative is heralded as a crucial pillar for the country’s digital sovereignty.

The ambitious project is to be spearheaded by the Cybastion group , in collaboration with key international partners including Cisco Systems,  Citibank , EximBank, and the U.S. government. Its primary objective is the construction of independent and secure digital infrastructures within Gabon. Beyond infrastructure development, the project also incorporates a significant social component: the provision of free training in digital professions for 1,000 young Gabonese citizens.

Scott Blacklin, Vice President of Cybastion, commended President Oligui Nguema’s vision, describing the Head of State as “a builder committed to the sustainable transformation of Gabon.”

This initiative underscores Gabon’s commitment to strengthening its digital independence and investing in its human capital to drive the nation’s digital future.
