Namibian Government Reinforces Commitment to Digital Broadcasting with New OB Van

In a significant move to bolster public broadcasting services and technological capabilities, the National Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) officially handed over a new High-Definition (HD) Outside Broadcasting (OB) Van to the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (MICT) on Wednesday.
The acquisition of this state-of-the-art vehicle is set to ensure that Namibian citizens are provided with high-quality, reliable information services, particularly for live events and remote broadcasts.
Upon receiving the HD OB Van, Dr. Audrin Mathe, MICT’s Executive Director, underscored the strategic importance of the handover. He stated that this new asset symbolises government’s commitment to advancing technological capabilities and enhancing its ability to serve the public through improved broadcasting services. The investment reflects a dedication to modernizing public communications infrastructure and delivering superior content to the nation.
The new HD OB Van is expected to play a crucial role in improving the technical quality and versatility of live event coverage, news reporting, and public service announcements across Namibia.
