The initiative is described as more than just a donation of devices; it is a bridge to opportunity designed to equip learners with essential skills for the modern world, including digital literacy, coding, robotics, and problem-solving.

In a collaborative initiative to advance digital inclusion, Minister of Communications and Digital Technologies,  Solly Malatsi, and Minister of Basic Education, Siviwe Gwarube, visited Glenvista Primary School in Johannesburg to officially hand over smart learning tablets to learners.

The initiative is described as more than just a donation of devices; it is a bridge to opportunity designed to equip learners with essential skills for the modern world, including digital literacy, coding, robotics, and problem-solving. Minister Malatsi emphasized that the Department of Communications and Digital Technologies is committed to ensuring that no child, school, or community is left behind in the digital age.

The handover is part of a broader government strategy to leverage strategic partnerships with the private sector to bridge the digital divide. By providing these tools, the government aims to give every young mind a head start in the digital economy, creating a connected, empowered generation, one device, one learner, one future at a time.
