Burkina Faso Launches Digital Platform to Revolutionize National Service Recruitment
The platform is designed to revolutionize the recruitment of SND callers by moving the entire application process online.
A new digital platform called “SIGSND” was launched on Thursday, August 7, 2025, in Ouagadougou, marking a significant step in the modernization of the National Service for Development (SND) in Burkina Faso. The platform is designed to revolutionize the recruitment of SND callers by moving the entire application process online. The launch ceremony was presided over by Dr. Aminata ZERBO/SABANE, the Minister of Digital Transition, Posts and Electronic Communications.
The SIGSND platform eliminates the need for long queues and in-person applications, allowing candidates to submit their information with a single click. According to Colonel Haidara Moctar TABORE, the Director General of the SND, this integrated management system is part of a broader “digital sovereignty” initiative. The platform aims to modernize recruitment, reduce logistical burdens for applicants, and ensure a more transparent and equitable selection process through a random draw system.
In 2025, the platform is set to facilitate the recruitment of 2,350 young people who will be deployed to public services and Training and Production Centers. The platform was developed by Burkinabe experts and is hosted locally, reinforcing the country’s commitment to digital independence. During her speech, Minister ZERBO/SABANE congratulated the SND for its digital reform and encouraged other public institutions to follow suit by digitizing their services to better serve the population.
