These developments are expected to foster stronger regional connections and a more interconnected West Africa.
The Liberia Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications has announced two major advancements in the country’s telecommunications sector, significantly boosting regional connectivity in West Africa.
First, Liberia has officially signed a new roaming agreement with Côte d’Ivoire. This deal is set to revolutionize cross-border communication, making it easier for people to stay connected while traveling between the two nations.
Second, a previously established telecommunications partnership with Sierra Leone has now gone live. This activation ensures seamless communication between the two countries.
The Ministry extended its gratitude to key collaborators, including the Liberia Telecommunications Authority (LTA), the West African Telecommunications Regulators Association (WATRA), and the Autorité de Régulation des Télécommunications de Côte d’Ivoire (ARTCI), acknowledging their role in making this vision a reality.
