The initiative, officially unveiled on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at the Abdoulaye Wade Stadium in Diamniadio, is a collaborative effort between the government and the private sector.

The Ministry of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation in Senegal  has launched a new “Young Talents” program in a strategic partnership with SOCOCIM Industries. The initiative, officially unveiled on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at the Abdoulaye Wade Stadium in Diamniadio, is a collaborative effort between the government and the private sector.

The program’s core mission is to promote academic excellence, innovation, and youth employability. It aligns with the ambitious reforms championed by President Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye and Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko, who aim to position higher education as a key driver of national development.

From a pool of 295 applicants across 47 institutions, 39 young individuals have been selected to participate. They will embark on an 18-month program that includes professional immersion, soft skills coaching, and the opportunity to lead innovative projects in collaboration with SOCOCIM Industries.

The Ministry praised SOCOCIM Industries for its commitment, reaffirming its dedication to strengthening public-private partnerships to ensure young people find sustainable and rewarding professional opportunities.
