Airtel Congo Partners with Chinese Oil Company Wing Wah to Build First Private Telecom Network

Airtel Congo  has announced a major strategic partnership with Wing Wah, a Chinese oil company, to develop and implement the first-ever private telecommunications network in the Republic of Congo (Congo-Brazzaville).

This collaboration marks a significant technological advancement for the industrial telecommunications sector in Central Africa. The new private network is designed to enhance the connectivity, security, and efficiency of Wing Wah’s oil operations at its Banga Kayo site. It is also expected to lay the groundwork for a more robust and sustainable digital infrastructure in the country.

In a public statement, Airtel Congo expressed gratitude to Wing Wah for its trust and acknowledged the hard work of its own teams and technical partners in bringing this ambitious project to fruition. The company highlighted that the contract demonstrates its ongoing commitment to innovation and to actively contributing to the technological development of Congo-Brazzaville.
