Ghana Secures Key International Digital and Cybersecurity Leadership Roles
Minister Hon. Samuel Nartey George announced that Ghana has been re-elected to two critical positions: Chair of the African Network of Cybersecurity Authorities (ANCA) and member of the Council of Administration of the Universal Postal Union (UPU).
Ghana has strengthened its leadership in global digital and cybersecurity governance, following a successful week of diplomatic and sectoral engagements led by the Ministry of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations.
Minister Hon. Samuel Nartey George announced that Ghana has been re-elected to two critical positions: Chair of the African Network of Cybersecurity Authorities (ANCA) and member of the Council of Administration of the Universal Postal Union (UPU).
The Minister highlighted that these achievements were made possible through extensive collaboration with Ghana’s Cyber Security Authority and Ghana Post, supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration.
The week also included strategic partnership discussions in Japan and China, as well as engagements in Rabat and Dubai, aimed at unlocking new opportunities in technology and innovation for Ghana.
According to the Minister, the positions secured will enhance Ghana’s access to advanced technology, strengthen support systems, and provide critical stakeholders with cutting-edge solutions to drive the country’s digital transformation agenda.
