Angola Cables Appoints Adriano Caldevilla as New Chief Technology Officer

Angola Cables, the digital services and telecommunications solutions provider, has announced the appointment of Adriano Caldevilla as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). In his new role, Caldevilla will lead the company’s global technology and interconnection strategy across Angola Cables and its subsidiary, TelCables .
A key part of his mandate will be to strengthen the group’s presence in Brazil, expanding business opportunities and connectivity in the region. His priorities include the expansion of subsea cable infrastructure, optimization of the existing network, and development of strategic partnerships in both established and emerging markets.
With more than 20 years of international experience in networks, subsea cables, cloud computing, and digital security, Caldevilla has played a significant role in interconnection projects, IP transit and peering, and advanced cybersecurity solutions. He has also contributed to the planning of intercontinental submarine cable systems and the expansion of global IP and MPLS networks. His career includes leadership roles at Zoom Video Communications, Globenet/Oi, Akamai Technologies, Global Crossing (Level 3), Verizon, and Orange.
