The program, unveiled in collaboration with Google Cloud, is designed to strengthen the capabilities of national talent in advanced fields such as cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity.

The Central Agency for Information Technology (CAIT)  has launched the second edition of the Kuwait Initiative for Digital Skills Development, reinforcing the country’s ambition to build a knowledge-driven economy. The program, unveiled in collaboration with Google Cloud,  is designed to strengthen the capabilities of national talent in advanced fields such as cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity.

Minister of State for Communication Affairs, Omar Al-Omar, described the initiative as a milestone in Kuwait’s digital transformation journey. He emphasized that it provides government employees with advanced training opportunities that enhance institutional efficiency and improve public services.

Al-Omar highlighted that investing in human capital is both sustainable and essential for achieving the country’s “New Kuwait 2035” vision. By equipping national cadres with modern digital expertise, the initiative aims to foster innovation, strengthen competitiveness, and establish Kuwait as a regional hub for technology and digital innovation.

The minister also noted that the program is more than a training exercise; it reflects a long-term strategic commitment between Kuwait and Google Cloud to accelerate digital transformation.

Shaimaa Al-Tekreeti, Google Cloud’s Director General in Kuwait, echoed this sentiment, affirming that the collaboration demonstrates Google Cloud’s commitment to empowering Kuwait’s workforce and driving faster adoption of digital technologies.

The first edition of the initiative was rolled out in October 2023, and the second phase builds on its early success with an expanded focus on practical applications of cutting-edge technology.
