The initiative highlights cybersecurity as a shared national responsibility that underpins Eswatini’s security, economic resilience, and social well-being.

The Government of Eswatini has launched Cybersecurity Awareness Month under the theme “Secure Eswatini, Be Safe Online; Asichumane Siphephile,” with a strong call for nationwide collaboration in protecting the country’s digital ecosystem.

The initiative highlights cybersecurity as a shared national responsibility that underpins Eswatini’s security, economic resilience, and social well-being. The campaign aims to mobilize government institutions, businesses, schools, and communities to adopt safer digital practices, enhance cyber awareness, and build long-term digital literacy.

The government’s approach emphasizes partnership across sectors—working with educational institutions to strengthen digital skills, with private businesses to reinforce cyber defences, and with local communities to raise awareness and protect vulnerable groups.

The campaign also ties into Eswatini’s broader digital transformation agenda, including the Government in Your Hand (GIYH) initiative led by the Ministry of ICT, which is designed to make public services faster, more accessible, and inclusive through digital platforms.

Authorities stress that as digital convenience expands, so must efforts to protect data, privacy, and trust. The launch reflects Eswatini’s growing commitment to ensuring that technological progress is matched with strong cybersecurity measures, fostering a safer and more resilient digital nation.
