Dr. Olatunji reaffirmed the NDPC’s commitment to working with Gbadamosi’s office, proposing collaborative programmes that will empower youth in the data protection and privacy sphere.

The National Commissioner and CEO of the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) , Dr. Vincent Olatunji, recently hosted Hon. Titilope Gbadamosi, Special Assistant to President Tinubu on Youth Initiatives (Monitoring & Delivery), in a high-level audience aimed at deepening collaboration on youth inclusion and data protection capacity building.

Hon. Gbadamosi praised the NDPC’s efforts, particularly its intentional inclusion of young people within its workforce—citing it as a model for inclusive governance. She outlined the mandate of her office, emphasizing the urgency of launching more initiatives that boost Nigeria’s positioning in the global technology space, with the NDPC playing a central role in training young Nigerians in data protection.

In response, Dr. Olatunji applauded Gbadamosi’s presentation, noting her commitment and insight. He referenced President Tinubu’s recent assent of the Nigeria Data Protection Act, 2023, as evidence of the administration’s determination to prioritize digital rights and regulation. He further remarked that the data protection sector in Nigeria has evolved beyond mere citizen privacy safeguards—it now acts as a stimulus for job creation and international competitiveness.

Dr. Olatunji reaffirmed the NDPC’s commitment to working with Gbadamosi’s office, proposing collaborative programmes that will empower youth in the data protection and privacy sphere. Discussions also touched on formalizing the partnership, potentially through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
