Huawei’s HiRE6 Connects 60,000+ Certified Youth with Top Employers to Power Egypt’s Digital Future
The event focused on high-demand, cutting-edge fields such as 5G, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cloud Computing, and Cybersecurity.
Huawei, under the patronage of Egypt’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and the Ministry of Labor , successfully held the 6th edition of its flagship employment forum, Huawei iTB Recruitment Expo (HiRE), themed “Your Gateway to Tomorrow’s Industry.” The annual forum serves as an interactive platform to connect Egyptian youth who have earned globally recognized certifications—particularly graduates of Huawei ICT Academies and the Huawei-NTI Egypt Talent Academy (ETA)—with over 100 participating local and regional companies, including major names like Telecom Egypt, the National Bank of Egypt, and Banque Misr. The event focused on high-demand, cutting-edge fields such as 5G, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cloud Computing, and Cybersecurity. This year adopted a hybrid model, allowing job opportunities to be posted on an open online platform for a full month to broaden access for candidates.
H.E. Mr. Mohamed Gibran, the Minister of Labor, emphasized that HiRE6 represents a distinguished model of effective public-private partnership aimed at empowering young talents to lead Egypt’s digital future and align with Egypt’s Vision 2030. He highlighted the government’s priority of investing in human capital and the Ministry of Labor’s dedication to reskilling initiatives in collaboration with major partners like Huawei, which creates high-quality job opportunities in Fourth Industrial Revolution specializations. The Minister also specifically commended Huawei for its role in empowering people of determination through specialized training and certification programs, underscoring the drive for inclusive digital growth.
Dr. Ahmed Khattab, Director of the National Telecom Institute (NTI), stressed that the two-decade-long collaboration with Huawei is a strategic vision focused on making a substantial investment in human capital, aiming to cultivate a new generation of globally competitive Egyptian professionals. He highlighted the tangible results of the partnership, noting the launch of the Huawei ICT Talent Bank (ITB) in 2019, which has since trained nearly 60,000 young talents across more than 160 Huawei ICT Academies. More recently, the partnership launched the Egyptian Talent Academy (ETA) in 2024, with a goal to train 15,000 young individuals over the next five years in advanced technology fields, alongside the Fiber Optic Technologies Academy to support national infrastructure projects. Huawei Egypt’s Senior Vice President, Mr. Dou Yong, reinforced this sentiment, affirming that investing in youth is a cornerstone for building Egypt’s future and supporting its drive toward a sustainable digital economy.
