The collaboration aims to accelerate the growth of digital commerce across the UAE and the wider GCC by equipping brands, retailers, and startups with advanced commerce technologies, AI-driven solutions, and seamless access to regional and global markets.

Dubai CommerCity (DCC),  the UAE’s first free zone dedicated to digital commerce, has entered a strategic partnership with VTEX,  the globally recognized enterprise digital commerce platform. The collaboration aims to accelerate the growth of digital commerce across the UAE and the wider GCC by equipping brands, retailers, and startups with advanced commerce technologies, AI-driven solutions, and seamless access to regional and global markets. The agreement was formalized by Amna Lootah, Director General of Dubai CommerCity, and Santiago Naranjo, Chief Revenue Officer at VTEX, in the presence of senior officials from both organizations.

The partnership comes as the UAE’s digital economy reached AED 32.3 billion (US$8.8 billion) in 2024 and is projected to exceed AED 50.6 billion (US$13.8 billion) by 2029, underlining the country’s ambition to double the sector’s contribution to GDP. VTEX also launched its first Middle East regional hub within Dubai CommerCity, leveraging the free zone’s purpose-built infrastructure to drive operational excellence, accelerate speed-to-market, and enable digital transformation for businesses of all sizes.

Through the hub, VTEX will provide enterprise-grade commerce solutions to high-potential brands within Dubai CommerCity and other UAE innovation initiatives, promoting adoption and scalability. Amna Lootah said,

“Our partnership with VTEX reflects Dubai CommerCity’s ongoing commitment to enabling business growth and supporting the ambitions of Dubai’s Economic Agenda (D33). Our aim is to empower brands and retailers to thrive in a rapidly evolving digital landscape by integrating VTEX’s proven platform into our ecosystem.”

Amna Lootah, Director General, Dubai CommerCity

VTEX’s regional presence will empower Emirati SMEs and entrepreneurs through masterclasses, interactive webinars, and certified courses covering digital commerce, omnichannel operations, composable storefronts, and marketplace strategy. The partnership also integrates Dubai CommerCity’s Commerce Intelligence Platform, InsightsIQ, with VTEX’s adaptable architecture, providing real-time, AI-driven analytics to support smarter business decisions, operational optimization, and revenue growth.

“VTEX has over 2,400 enterprise customers in over 43 countries around the world, and our new regional hub at Dubai CommerCity is a milestone, serving as a gateway to the future of commerce in the Middle East. This hub positions VTEX at the center of the region’s commerce innovation landscape, allowing VTEX to scale the most promising brands in the Middle East with enterprise-grade technology, AI-driven intelligence, and deep global expertise.”

Santiago Naranjo, Chief Revenue Officer, VTEX

The partnership underscores Dubai CommerCity’s commitment to advancing entrepreneurship, fostering innovation-led growth, and positioning the UAE as a hub for enterprise-grade digital commerce solutions in the region.
