Zambia Strengthens Efforts to Expand Internet Access and Digital Rights

The Electronic Government Division (Smart Zambia) participated in the 2025 Lusaka Internet Meet-Up, held on November 6th at the M’Kango Golfview Hotel in Lusaka.
The event focused on Zambia’s digital future, highlighting key discussions on cyber policy, online rights, and digital inclusion.
The Digital Zambia Acceleration Project is advancing the country’s digital transformation by expanding ICT infrastructure, delivering e-services, and building digital skills.
Key issues addressed at the meet-up included internet accessibility, freedom of expression online, cybersecurity, and stakeholder collaboration. The event brought together government officials, civil society representatives, ICT players, and media organizations to explore ways of balancing innovation with the protection of digital rights.
