The platform becomes the first SaaS-based observability solution in the country with integrated AI capabilities designed to comply with Saudi Arabia’s data sovereignty and regulatory requirements.

Riverbed,  a global leader in AIOps for observability, has announced the launch of its Riverbed Aternity® Cloud solution hosted in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The platform becomes the first SaaS-based observability solution in the country with integrated AI capabilities designed to comply with Saudi Arabia’s data sovereignty and regulatory requirements.

The launch coincides with Riverbed establishing its Middle East and North Africa Regional Headquarters (RHQ) in Riyadh. Staffed with a local General Manager, executive directors, and a dedicated team, the RHQ aims to strengthen customer and partner support in the region and drive further growth fueled by Riverbed’s technology innovations.

Riverbed’s Aternity Cloud provides enterprise-scale Digital Employee Experience (DEX) monitoring, capturing telemetry from millions of devices, business applications, and cloud-native services. The platform offers real-time insights into employee and customer experiences, helping organisations enhance IT performance, visibility, and operational efficiency while maintaining full compliance with national data policies.

Hosting the platform locally provides unmatched portability and flexibility, allowing enterprises, including sensitive sectors such as defence, to adopt AI-powered observability solutions without compromising control, compliance, or sovereignty. The offering aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and broader digital transformation agenda, supporting government mandates for data residency and secure cloud deployment.

The launch also reflects the growing AI investment trend in Saudi Arabia, where companies have increased AI spending by nearly 160% year-on-year. Many organisations are consolidating multiple observability tools to simplify operations and enhance system performance, a process the Aternity Cloud platform is designed to support.

Riverbed’s new locally hosted solution reinforces its long-standing presence in Saudi Arabia, where it collaborates with government entities, banks, and other industries to enhance digital performance assurance. The Riverbed Aternity Cloud for Saudi Arabia is scheduled for general availability in the first quarter of 2026.
